Slightly less... 'emotional' review of this week's OTH...
I've been having a rough week, feeling sick, so I was kind of a wreck on Tuesday as I watched... better now, though still kinda sick, so I thought I'd try to be more 'articulate' with my feelings on the ep...

Spoiler's galore behind the cut, especially since I am rewatching right now as I type. It's pretty much ALL about Brooke's parts of the ep... It's not a full review so much as me singing Brooke's praises... lol

There were some really lame moments (The "I'm you storm!" lines in the Quinn/Crazy!Bitch scenes were so f'ing stupid... and some of Julian giving Brooke CPR was a little... over the top? I mean, I get it, he was terrified, but... yeah), but in general, I loved this episode because it showcased Brooke's awesomeness.

Brooke's reaction to seeing Chuck in the middle of the road, and how she recognized him immediately and she was so worried about him without even realizing that Jamie was involved.

Jamie's "Aunt Brooke!" line sounded to me like "Everything'll be okay, because Aunt Brooke is here." He knows that Brooke would do anything to make it okay for him...

Brooke is clearly so scared through out the whole thing, but she hides it well for the sake of the kids. She loves Jamie so much... and he loves her, too... I love when she said she was stupid and Jamie said that she isn't... and Brooke trying to keep Jamie from getting scared by talking to him about silly stuff.

I freaked when that asshole slammed into the crashed car, sent it into the water, and then just fucking drove off after seeing not only that a car went in the water but that someone jumped over the side of the bridge. It was HORRIBLE weather, the crashed car had no lights on, if they had stayed they wouldn't have been blamed, I'm sure they wouldn't have been. But by taking off like that, they DID commit a crime (leaving the scene of an accident at the very least), and I hope that whoever they are, they get busted...

I really freaked, and started actually crying (Yes, I cried over a character on a teen soap... but it's been 7 years of watching OTH, 7 years of seeing Brooke change from a spoiled girl who slept around to this awesome woman who would sacrifice herself for the people she loves... literally...) when the levee broke and all the water rushed in and Brooke started begging Julian to save Jamie first... I was so pissed that they kept switching to Quinn/Crazy!Bitch when my Brooke was in danger... I actually kept saying to the TV (Shut up, I know they can't hear me...) "I don't care if Quinn dies! Just get back to Brooke!"

And I just got more upset every time they switched back to Brooke and we saw her drowning bit by bit... this is Brooke, this is the girl I loved even when she was a spoiled girl who could be a major bitch... I loved her even when she was being mean to Haley...

Jamie standing ont eh bridge yelling for Brooke and Julian was kicking my ass because it reminded me so much of Haley on the bridge (I think the same one, too, it's hard to tell but it all looks the same) screaming for Nathan at the end of Season 3...

When Nathan and Haley reached the bridge and saw Jamie in the road... god that must basically be every parents nightmare right there... I told my mom about the scene, and she agreed, it would definitely be her nightmare... And Jamie's "Aunt Brooke is dead" just killed me... and I love the look of devastation on Nathan's face as he walked towards Julian and Brooke, and on both he and Haley's faces as she joined in... and not just because Nathan/Brooke is my UC ship for OTH (Though it is... lol) I've always loved the scenes between Nathan and Brooke because Nathan is the other character that has grown and changed the most... they are my favorites for that very reason, they've had the most growth and change...

I think the biggest thing about this ep was how it was clear that while Brooke didn't WANT to die, of course, she was still prepared to do so in order to make sure Jamie would be okay, just like she risked herself to save Sam in season 6. That is why she will be an awesome mom, because the people she loves come first. I really hope that either she has a miracle baby by the end of the series, or that it's at least made clear that she and Julian will adopt a kid or two or a dozen. Because there's a lot of kids who need a Brooke Davis in their lives.

Okay... that is very much a "Brooke Davis Is Awesome, Everyone Should Love Her" thing up there... lol...

Yes, they do... Like I said in my post that night, 8x11 was everything I love about Brooke Davis. Like I said in hat last full paragraph up there, I have no doubt that even though Brooke didn't WANT to die, she was prepared to die if it meant Jamie would be okay. She's always been like that with the people she loves, willing to risk herself for their sake.

Sorry... I keep getting caught up in my love for Brooke... lol
