Two Fic Postera...
I haven't written either, and will probably only write one of them if I do write either, but... yeah...

Both images are clickable to see a larger version.

The first one is loosely based on the vaguest intepretation of 'The Breakfast Club' as a prompt. Five (in thise case near) strangers spent one day together, realizing that there's a lot beneath the surface that none of them realized.

The premise is that Marissa died after a night of binge drinking, and five people who knew her end up spending the night after her funeral with eachother, telling stories about Marissa, and realizing that there's a lot more connections between them than they realized.

This second one is a manip of the main promo image of 'Life Unexpected', the upcoming show with Shiri Appleby (Liz from Roswell). The manip isn't my absolute best, but I still like it.

The plot of my version, which somewhat follows what I know about the actual show:
Ryan Atwood and Brooke Davis were high school sweethearts, and when Brooke wound up pregnant, they wanted to get married and keep the baby, but their parents forbid it and Brooke's mother took her out of town, convincing her that giving up the baby was best for both of them.

15 years later, Brooke is an up-and-coming fashion designer and Ryan is a bartender, having lived in the same city but not spoken since High School. Then, their daughter Lily shows, and it's discovered that since Ryan never gave up his parental rights, and it could be argued that Brooke gave up hers under duress, Lily needs their permission in order to become an emancipated minor when she hits 16. Ryan is reluctant to push his daughter back into foster care, knowing what it can be like, and Brooke wants a chance to know the daughter she only held once.

So, they decided to try being Lily's parents, with the girl splitting time between them untils he decides where she wants to stay until she's 16. But even as Ryan and Brooke argue about the best way to handle their sudden parenthood, Lily can tell that the love her parents once felt is still there, underneath the anger and resentment.

I have this one little bit of dialogue stuck in my head for it. Ryan's talking to a friend... the 'bitch' he refers to is Victoria, NOT Brooke, though there's some anger towards her, too...

"It's like... I've been missing a part of myself since the day that bitch gave my daughter away, like there was a hole in my heart. And the moment Lily looked up at me and said 'I'm your daughter', it's like... the hole wasn't so big. It wasn't so empty. And I'm not going to throw my daughter away like she means nothing, because to me she means everything."

Yeah... this is the one I'll probably write... lol

psst... would you be interested in joining if I created a Ryan/Brooke LJ Community? I KNOW there's other fans out there, and there's other crossover pairing comms (I know of a Dean/Faith Comm for certain, I'm pretty sure I've seen others, too)...

I'm considering either a R/B comm, or a general Crossover Pairings comm... like maybe start with only a couple of 'Official' pairings for the comm, but have a Pairing:Other tag for other pairings, andf if they're popular enough, give them their own tag (like if there's more than 4 posts over the course of a month for a specific pairing, that pairing gets it's own tag)...

Would you be interested in joining either comm if I made them? I'm directing the question at you since I know you like Ryan/Brooke, too... enough to have an icon and request R/B stuff... lol
