Fic: You Can't Go Wrong With Audrey (Gossip Girl, Dan/Blair)
A random little fluffy Dan/Blair future-ficlet. Dan is sick, Blair goes to the loft to take care of him. Mocking and sweetness ensue.

"I come bearing the Polish version of Chicken Soup," Blair said as she stepped into the loft with a large picnic basket in her arms, eyeing Dan's worn out appearance. "You look horrible, Humphrey."

"Gee, thanks Blair," Dan replied, closing the loft door again. "What are you doing here?"

"Where else would I be when you're sick?" Blair asked. "I've got movies, and as long as we occasionally slip something good in amongst your ridiculous favorites, I've cleared my schedule for the day."

"Like you brought any movies that you think are sub-par," Dan said, even as he smiled.

"Admittedly, I did weed out the worst of the worst," Blair said, beginning to unpack the basket on top of the coffee table. "But I brought our movie," she added, holding up a copy of Rosemary's Baby.

"I guess I can live with your favorites occasionally," Dan agreed, shuffling back to the couch and sitting down.

Blair smiled and put the first movie in, then hurried over to the couch. She sat at one end, placing a pillow in her lap, then tugged Dan down to lay with his head on the pillow. She pulled the blanket off the back of the couch and spread it over him, then started the movie. "I won't hold it against you if you fall asleep," she said. 'I'll just make you watch it with me when you're awake," she said as the title came up on screen.

"Of course you start with your favorite," Dan said with a smile.

"You can't go wrong with Audrey Hepburn, and if you say otherwise, being sick won't protect you," Blair replied, combing her fingers through his hair. "Now hush unless it's constructive commentary."

"Yes, ma'am," Dan mocked, then fell quiet, his eyes gliding shut as the motion on her fingers soothed his headache and her quiet commentary lulled him. "Thanks," he added as he began tod rift off.

"There's nowhere I'd rather be," Blair replied with a soft smile. "Sleep, I'll be here when you wake up."

"Good," Dan said. "Love you."

"I love you, too," Blair replied without thinking about it, then stopped as she realized what had just happened. He had professed his love without hesitation and pressure, and she had returned without a doubt in her mind. "I love you, too, Humphrey," she repeated, smiling.

The End

thanks... I just loved the image of them snarking at eachother, but Blair still taking care of a sick Dan. And god help anyone who interrupts his rest! They will face the wrath of Blair!
