Meme time!
Tell me about a story I haven't written, and I'll give you several sentences from that story.

For anyone who hasn't seen this meme, the idea of it is to basically give a brief description that sounds like something I'd write (Example: 'The one where Ryan and Brooke have seven kids and a dog') but haven't actually talked about or written, and then I'll write at least a few sentences if not a few paragraphs of the story, or it may even spark a whole, fully written, story. This is NOT to get sneak peaks at stories I've mentioned wanting to write/am currently writing...

Any fandoms I've written or even just talked about are open to use (Scan my tags list, if it's on there, it's open to use!) although if it's not a fandom I've written often/at all I can't promise it'll be perfectly in character.

The one where Brooke gave Ryan a black eye, accidentally of course. Too bad Sandy and company don't believe it.
Maramissmara on January 8th, 2012 04:45 am (UTC)
"Whoa! What happened to our face?!" Seth yelled as he and Summer walked into the Cohen kitchen and saw Ryan.

"Quieter!" Ryan hissed, wishing now that he had taken something stronger than an aspirin before coming over.

"What happened?" Kirsten asked.

"You know Seth will not let it drop, so you might as well tell us," Summer added.

Ryan sighed. "I ran into a door," he admitted. "And it's really embarrassing, so can we just talk about something other than my face?"

"Where's Brooke?" Sandy asked.

"At home, she didn't feel like coming," Ryan said with a shrug.

Sandy and Kirsten exchanged glances. "We heard you two arguing when you called..." Kirsten began.

"She thought I should stay home and rest," Ryan said.

"Ryan... walking into a door wouldn't leave you with those bruises..." Sandy said.

Ryan stared up at him, startled. "You... What, you think Brooke hit me or something?"

"That's kinda the cliche excuse you used," Seth pointed out.

"It's not an excuse, it's what happened!" Ryan protested.

"Last night, we got home from dinner with a business associate of Brooke's, and I was puttering around while she went to get changed, and she said something I didn't quite catch, so I told her I didn't hear it and started back to pour room, and I didn't see her shoes in the middle of the hall, and I tripped just as she was opening the bedroom door..." He sighed. "My face slammed onto the knob and Brooke feels so guilty that she refused to face you guys tonight, and she was worried about me being out instead of resting like the doctor said..."

"Ryan... that's a little..." Sandy began.

"My wife is not abusing me!" Ryan said. "I honestly fell into the door knob and now I'm glad Brooke didn't come if you're just going to make insane accusations!" He finished, getting up. "I'm gonna call a cab and go home, I'd rather be reassuring Brooke that it wasn't her fault than listening to you be crazy!"

Great! I'm adding the following:

And as Ryan is storming out of the house, he trips on the rug and ends up hitting the undamaged side of his face on the front door.

A gilmore girls oc crossover where Ryan and Lorelai wake up together in Vegas and find out they got married while they were drunk and celebrated their new marriage.
Maramissmara on January 9th, 2012 06:28 am (UTC)
Lorelai was still somewhat in a state of shock as she sat on a bench outside a coffee shop. She hadn't thought she was that drunk, and apparently she'd been sober enough that her handwriting was completely legible on the marriage license. And she was married to a 24 year-old who'd only just graduated from college and oh God this was not what she had in mind when Sookie suggested she go to the conference.

"You didn't mention if you take sugar or cream," Ryan said as he returned to her side with two large coffees. "So it's plain..."

"I just need massive caffeine," Lorelai said with a slight smile.

Ryan nodded, sipping his own coffee. "I'm sure we can get this annulled or something," he said.

"Pretty sure we consummated," Lorelai replied. "And I doubt anyone will believe we didn't."

"Not unless I claim to be gay," Ryan agreed with a shy smile.

"Now I see what i thought this was a good idea last night, you are a flirt," Lorelai accused. "You flattered me until I went insane!"

"You were talking about how the bar should be a new Coyote Ugly and trying to get on the counter," Ryan said. "And I'm pretty sure that was before you were drunk."

"Hey, they would have been a lot busier if they did!" Lorelai protested.

"Anyway, how do we know it wasn't the other way around?" Ryan continued. "I'm alone in Vegas after a big fight with my family, I just had a bad break up, this gorgeous woman flirts with me... I wasn't in my right mind, and you took advantage of that. You are just a horrible human being," he said with mock sincerity.

Lorelai laughed. "I'm just imagining how my family would react. You're younger than my daughter."

"Hey, at least I'm of age, so you've got points on the supposed ladies who propositioned me for coat room sex when I was 15," Ryan said.

"I'm picturing the look on my mother's face..." Lorelai said, a slow smile spreading across her face. "How would you feel about staying married long enough to meet my parents?" she asked with a grin. "With me having a video camera trained on my mother's face when I tell her that you're my husband."

"I could live with that," Ryan agreed. Then, impulsively, he leaned over and kissed her. "Gotta practice to make it look good, right?" he asked when he pulled back.

"I think we need more practice than that," Lorelai countered, kissing him again.

I think you may have to continue this one!
Maramissmara on January 9th, 2012 09:32 pm (UTC)
I may at some point write at least another little snippet or two... I'm picturing the reaction of Emily and Richard in particular (though I think Ryan would win them over given a little time...) and of course the Cohens reacting to Lorelai... maybe thinking she took advantage of him being vulnerable because of the fight with them and the recent break up... and oh God of Taylor Townsend is the one he recently broke up with, he reaction to Ryan's older woman? lmao...
finleefinlee on January 9th, 2012 11:01 pm (UTC)
Just the idea of them together makes me laugh. But then I think about it and they kind of balance eachother out.

When chuck Bass looked at his fathers will he was surprised to find out that his father had another child name ryan. More importantly it sobered him up to think for the first time he might have a chance at a real family
steve_skisteve_ski on January 10th, 2012 01:18 am (UTC)
Love this.....so hoping the scene is Chuck arriving to lay the news on Ryan.
Maramissmara on January 10th, 2012 01:23 am (UTC)
lol... I didn't see your comment until after I posted... but that's a scene I may write at some point... I'm just enjoying jumping into the middle with these snippets and leaving tons to the imagination... lol
Maramissmara on January 10th, 2012 01:22 am (UTC)
"It's yours as much as it's mine," Chuck said firmly.

"My mother was a stripper he hooked up with," Ryan replied. "He obviously didn't want me, so I don't want his money."

"You were in his will," Chuck argued. "Clearly he cared."

"Yeah, so clearly that I never even met the man."

"Fine, maybe he didn't care so much as he felt guilty, which would have been a first, but the fact remains that I care. You're my brother, my family..."

"You don't even know me," Ryan insisted.

"But I want to. My only other family is Jack, out father's brother, and he... he only wants control of the company. He couldn't care less what happens to me. And I know he's determined to make sure you get nothing because it takes from him. You're my brother, you have as much a right to the Bass Legacy as I do. And a hell of lot more right to it than Jack! He's trying to take it away from both of us!"

Ryan hesitated, looking away, then looking back. "Does... you're 17, right?"

"Who has guardianship?"

"Hell no," Ryan said. "I don't care about the company, or the money, but he is not taking anything from you."

"What... what does that mean?" Chuck asked.

"It means I guess I'm sticking around for a while," Ryan said. "What exactly does the will say about me?"

"It identifies you as his son, it leaves a third of his shares of Bass Industries to you, the other two thirds are mine and his latest wife, Lilly's."

"What does she think about all this?"

"She doesn't trust Jack as far as she could throw him," Chuck said.

"Good, that'll help."

(oh my god... this one may get at least a least a few more random snippets at some point because the ideas it's sparking... lol... Ryan going to war with Jack Bass to protect Chuck... Chuck trying to get Ryan to embrace the wealth and power that comes with being a Bass... Chuck being a little nicer to Dan because most of his insults? Could also be used against Ryan... Ryan deciding to give Chuck a hard time by taking him to a baseball/basketball game, making him wear jeans, and making him sit with the 'normal' people instead of in a luxury box or whatever... lol... omg... Chuck meets The Nana... lmao)

Ryan wanted the chance to start over after everything that happen with volchek and the car accident. He knew he couldnt do it at berkley. Who knew that his really high math test scores would make him a prime candidate to go Calsci where the great charlie epps teaches.
Maramissmara on January 13th, 2012 10:33 pm (UTC)
I'm thinking about this one, it may take a little time, but... I'm gonna keep thinking on it...
(Anonymous) on January 17th, 2012 02:56 pm (UTC)
(I'm extremely excited about this,I absolutely love your stories)
The one where Ryan goes to jail for a crime he didn't commit, and he breaks up with Brooke because he wants to protect her. When he's exonarated, four years later, he goes looking for Brooke and finds her happily married with Julian Baker, and with twin sons...who are three and a half and look exactly like Ryan.
Maramissmara on January 18th, 2012 12:05 am (UTC)
"I just... I wanted to see you," Ryan said when Brooke approached him, not looking up to meet her gaze.

"Why?" Brooke asked. "Because last time I saw you, you were all about how useless I was, and how you didn't love me, you just loved sex with me, and..."

"I wanted you to have better than a boyfriend in jail for the next twenty five years," Ryan said. "I figured, no one believed me in court that I was innocent, so no one ever would."

"I believed you," Brooke said. "And obviously someone else did, too, because you're here."

"Yeah, four years too late," Ryan said, finally looking up. "I loved you, Brooke. I still do, more than anything, and I just..."

Brooke reached to take his hands in his. "Ryan..."

"I wanted you to be happy," Ryan said, lifting their joined hands to tap her wedding ring. "I want this life for you, Brooke, and I... I'm glad you have it. I just... I wish you had it with me."

"Ryan..." Brooke began again.

Ryan shook his head and let go of her hands and took a step back. "I should go. You have the life you deserve, beautiful sons and a husband who loves you, and... I don't wanna ever hurt that." For a moment he just looked at her, at the tears glistening in her eyes, then he reached out to swipe them away with his thumb before leaning forward to kiss her cheek. "Bye," he whispered before starting for his jeep.

Brooke hesitated a moment, then ran to stop him, her fingertips just barely grazing his wrist, though it was enough to get him to turn. "The boys... they... they're yours," she said.

"I kinda figured," Ryan admitted.

"You should know them, Ryan," Brooke said. "They should know you."

"What's your husband gonna think of that?"

"He gonna think that now someone with some actual athletic skill can play sports with them when they get older," Brooke said with a slight laugh. "Because Julian may be an amazing director? But he sucks at sports. All sports, seriously, it's embarrassing."

Ryan laughed. "You sure?"

"Yeah, I am," Brooke said. "I am always going to love you, Ryan, but I... I love Julian, too, and..."

"If I stay, it's not about you and me," Ryan promised. "I would never try to ruin your marriage. I just... I wanna know my sons. I want them to know that there's one more person in the world who would do anything for them."

"Stay," Brooke said. "Come by tonight for dinner, meet the boys, talk to Julian... who knows, maybe you guys can be friends."

"If he can handle knowing that I know the sounds you make during sex," Ryan teased.

"Let's try to keep that out of the conversation," Brooke suggested with a smile. "You'll come for dinner?"

"Yeah, I'll be there," Ryan agreed.

(I MAY write more of this... though if I did it would be with Brooke/Julian together, and Ryan would be good friends with them both, though maybe always with an undercurrent when it comes to Brooke, and Ryan eventually finding love with someone else, but Ryan always makes sure his kids come first... and he has no problem sharing the 'dad' role with Julian... since Ryan is the Sports Playing dad and Julian is the Movie Going dad... and Julian ends up co-writing a movie based on the whole situation and jokes with Ryan that he is going to turn Ryan's character into a jerk and Ryan replies that he'll just bad mouth Julian all over the place, and Brooke comments that the twins are mroe mature than they are... lol)

Thank you so much! This is amazing! I love how realistic your writing sounds, like I can almost see it while reading. And I HOPE you write more of this someday, because Brulian and Ryan raising kids toegether would be so much fun to read! And maybe Alex Dupree has the leading role in Julian's movie, and she ends up falling in love with Ryan? I'm crossing my fingers!
Maramissmara on January 18th, 2012 02:57 am (UTC)
I was actually thinking Ryan/Alex Dupree would be perfect for this universe... I can see her immediately thinking Ryan is hot (because the girl does have eyes), then maybe getting a little unsure about pursuing anything when she realizes Ryan is Brooke' ex and father of the twins... but then Ryan is so sweet and he likes her, too, and she gets over the weirdness and all is good in the world... lol

The one where there's a phsyco who faked her own death in a car accident and now spends her time stalking guys who later disappear to never be found again. For the last five years, she's been getting away with killing them after weeks of torture, until the night when Julian Baker doesn't come home to his girlfriend. That's when Marissa Cooper learns that you don't mess with Brooke Davis.
Maramissmara on January 27th, 2012 09:25 pm (UTC)
Like the Numb3rs one above, I'm thinking on this, but it may be a little while yet before I come up with anything like.

The OC/SPN crossover. Ryan and Seth discover that hunting things and saving people used to be the Cohen's family business, and they decide to give it a try.
